In Sebastian Lendenmann's film, waiting is treated as an action, whereby the question of the “inbetween” and its border areas is posed both spatially and temporally. How else, if not with a glitch aesthetic, is the transition from the queue in the supermarket to the existential question of waiting to be made?
Sebastian Lendenmann (he/him) is a visual artist and photographer based in Zurich. His art explores our interactions with the physical world, encouraging viewers to examine these relationships and their manifestations. He is especially intrigued by the visual characteristics of reflective and transparent mediums, exploring their roles as conveyors, filters, or obstructions, shedding light on how they influence cultural and everyday perceptions.
